Straight answers to the important questions
FAQs about gardeners and garden jobs
Here is how Fix Your Garden works, what an indicative price range means and when your contact details are shared.
About the service
What is Fix Your Garden?
Fix Your Garden helps you describe a garden job clearly and find suitable gardeners. You see an indicative range first and compare replies afterwards.
What work can I request?
You can request maintenance, lawn work, pruning, garden design, planting, paving, fences, irrigation, renovation and complete landscaping. See the garden services.
Do I need to know exactly what needs doing?
No. Describe what you see and what you want to achieve. The follow-up questions help you organise the request.
Price and requests
How is the price range worked out?
It uses the selected service, your answers and managed catalogue rules. Size, materials, access, preparation and waste can all affect the range.
Is the range a quotation?
No. It is a transparent, non-binding estimate. A gardener can provide a final price or quotation after assessing the actual situation.
Can I add photos?
Photos can help when the situation is hard to describe. Do not include people, house numbers or other unnecessary information.
Gardeners and contact
How are gardeners invited?
We consider active area, type of work and availability. Invitations are sent in fair batches. A reply cannot be guaranteed.
When are my contact details shared?
Only after you choose a gardener. Before then, an invited gardener sees only the information needed to decide whether to reply.
Can I choose the gardener?
Yes. Compare replies in your secure dashboard and choose who you want to work with.
What if no one replies?
It can depend on the season and availability. We show when there is no match yet; depending on the situation, the request may be offered again.
Privacy and control
Can I withdraw my request?
Yes. You can cancel an open request from your dashboard. See the privacy statement for more about your data.
